Dear Families,

Winter seems to have finally let go after dropping one last snow fall. Our yard will be wet and muddy until the May sun dries it out, so consider rubber boots and splash pants for a while yet.

Only one trip next week, when F3 walks to Loveleigh place Thursday for art opportunities. Speaking of art, artist Lynn Barrett will visit E 3/4 on Tuesday. Friday is a PA Day so there will be no school for students.

Our SAC has announced our spring fundraiser with The Good Home Company. Details are below and the poster is linked. Order today, delivery in time for Mother's Day!

School-Day reminders:

  • Hot Dog Day returns April 22—please order by April 17.
  • May Pizza and Sub hot lunch - please order by April 26th

Big April school events are getting closer! First, the Prince Charles School Annual Art Showcase. Come and enjoy artwork created by all of our classes, along with a performance by our choir (see details below). For sports fans, Track and Field is also scheduled for Wednesday, April 28 and Thursday, April 29. Families are welcome to come out and support students throughout the day. Snacks will be available, details coming soon.

Remember a week ahead and a year long calendar are available to check out below, as well as many opportunities/reminders.

Spring means its time to register little ones for kindergarten! Here at TPCS you can register in either English or French Immersion kindergarten programs, and you don't have to live in our area to register with us. LDSB aims to accommodate families who wish to have their children attend a school out of their area. There are some conditions so call the school to hear the details. Registrations are completed on-line, follow the link to get started!

As always please reach out if you have any questions.

Bill Dowling

TPCS Cell Phone Policy

Cell phone use by students impacts not only the learning environment but also the safety and privacy of others. In accordance with the Limestone District School Board’s Policy as well as the Ministry of Education’s Policy, students are not to be using cell phones at school unless they are directed to do so by their teacher for instructional purposes. As a staff, we have discussed why certain students may need to use their cell phones while at school and we will make sure we connect with those students and their parents to make a plan. We also want to highlight that if there needs to be any communication between home and school during the school day, this needs to go through the main office by calling 613-354-2121.hen your child arrives at school, they will be directed to put their device in a safe container in the classroom. If your child does not follow the expectations around cell phone use, their device will be housed in the office for the day. There will not be any warnings given. Your child will be able to pick it up at the end of the day. If their device is being misused again, a parent/guardian will be asked to come pick up the cell phone. This policy extends to the use of headphones/earbuds without direct permission from a teacher. Our goal is to make the most use of class time and create an effective, focused, and respectful learning environment for all students.

LDSB Student Dress Policy

The Limestone District School Board is committed to upholding human rights, and creating an equitable, inclusive, and accessible school climate that ensures all students and staff feel safe, comfortable, and accepted. Please review our updated Student Dress Policy using the attached document
