Hello everyone! Bonjour à tous!

To all of our families, I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend, hopefully spent with family and friends.

NO SCHOOL TOMORROW FRIDAY OCTOBER 10TH - PA DAY, NO SCHOOL MONDAY OCTOBER 13TH THANKSGIVING.

Be sure to check SchoolDay and order November hot lunches and Halloween milkshakes before its too late. While you're there, get tickets for our SAC's annual Boo Bash! This family favorite event will be Friday October 24th. Details in the poster below.

A few events coming up next week. Our Cross Country runners will be heading to Fort Henry on Tuesday, and our FI Kinders are heading to the pumpkin patch on Thursday.

I have included in this newsletter a graphic showing all of the different school safety procedures, with explanations of what the criteria are for each. One you may not have seen before is "Stinger Support" and it is unique to our school. When we call this over the PA system, it is to ask our students to "support" a fellow "Stinger" (student or an adult) by trying to stay in the classroom as much as possible and avoiding the office area. This is used when there is no danger to students, but we are trying to give an individual some privacy. An example of this when there is a medical emergency and an ambulance needs to be called.

We have a guest presenter that I need to share. A parent will be visiting Mme. Gibbs and Mme. Sparkes F Kinder class to speak about Diwali, the festival of lights. This will happen on October 20th.

Don't forget to check out the Fresh From the Farm Fundraiser, order window closing soon. Details are below, and use this link to order!

As always, be sure to check out all the information shared in the posters below, including details on the LDSB's Student Census.

Have a great weekend, J'espère que vous avez tous une bonne fin de semaine!

TPCS Cell Phone Policy

Cell phone use by students impacts not only the learning environment but also the safety and privacy of others. In accordance with the Limestone District School Board’s Policy as well as the Ministry of Education’s Policy, students are not to be using cell phones at school unless they are directed to do so by their teacher for instructional purposes. As a staff, we have discussed why certain students may need to use their cell phones while at school and we will make sure we connect with those students and their parents to make a plan. We also want to highlight that if there needs to be any communication between home and school during the school day, this needs to go through the main office by calling 613-354-2121.hen your child arrives at school, they will be directed to put their device in a safe container in the classroom. If your child does not follow the expectations around cell phone use, their device will be housed in the office for the day. There will not be any warnings given. Your child will be able to pick it up at the end of the day. If their device is being misused again, a parent/guardian will be asked to come pick up the cell phone. This policy extends to the use of headphones/earbuds without direct permission from a teacher. Our goal is to make the most use of class time and create an effective, focused, and respectful learning environment for all students.

LDSB Student Dress Policy

The Limestone District School Board is committed to upholding human rights, and creating an equitable, inclusive, and accessible school climate that ensures all students and staff feel safe, comfortable, and accepted. Please review our updated Student Dress Policy using the attached document
