What's Happening at The Prince Charles School
Hello everyone! Bonjour à tous!
It was so nice to see so many families at our Open House last night! I think this is my favourite event of the year - not just because I get to see families - but because with the crowd, the games, the food, it really is a community event. A big thanks to our SAC for all their help with this yearly event, and to staff for being there to chat with parents and show off student work.
October hot lunches are still available on SchoolDay. Deadline to order is September 28th, so be sure to place your order today! In other SAC related news, The Junk in the Trunk Sale this Saturday has been cancelled. We will look to try this one again in the spring.
Please see the details about our first fundraiser of the year below! Fresh from the Farm offers Veggie and Fruit packages for sale as a healthy fundraising option for families. Pick up a bag for you and yours, and if you would like you can also donate a bag that will be distributed to families in our community who need some support. Details are below, and use this link to order!
As Junior and Intermediate sports begin, we also hold an annual running event for our grade 1 and 2 students. The Turkey Trot will be held October 9th at 1:15 pm. Families are encouraged to attend, join us on the back tarmac shortly after 1!
As we begin to navigate the year, please know that here at TPCS we are committed to an active partnership with our parents. I believe that open communication prevents issues from growing, so if at anytime you have questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to reach out to me via e-mail or by calling the school.
Have a great weekend, J'espère que vous avez tous une bonne fin de semaine!

TPCS Cell Phone Policy
Cell phone use by students impacts not only the learning environment but also the safety and privacy of others. In accordance with the Limestone District School Board’s Policy as well as the Ministry of Education’s Policy, students are not to be using cell phones at school unless they are directed to do so by their teacher for instructional purposes. As a staff, we have discussed why certain students may need to use their cell phones while at school and we will make sure we connect with those students and their parents to make a plan. We also want to highlight that if there needs to be any communication between home and school during the school day, this needs to go through the main office by calling 613-354-2121.hen your child arrives at school, they will be directed to put their device in a safe container in the classroom. If your child does not follow the expectations around cell phone use, their device will be housed in the office for the day. There will not be any warnings given. Your child will be able to pick it up at the end of the day. If their device is being misused again, a parent/guardian will be asked to come pick up the cell phone. This policy extends to the use of headphones/earbuds without direct permission from a teacher. Our goal is to make the most use of class time and create an effective, focused, and respectful learning environment for all students.
LDSB Student Dress Policy
