Both Mrs. Madden and Mme. Little are both retiring, and we wish them all the best after outstanding careers. The wonderful Mrs. Semark and Mme. Bertrand will be leaving us for other sites, as are two of our amazing EA's, Ms. Melanie (Himmelman) and Mrs. Ruttan. We will miss you, and remember once a Stinger always a Stinger!</span></p><p class="editor-paragraph" dir="ltr"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Goodbyes also means we have some welcomes to extend. Mrs. Morrow is returning to TPCS in SK/1, and Mrs. Ryan is joining our team in 3/4. In French JK/SK we are happy to have Mme. Bishop coming in. Also we have Leah Latchford and Keelan Lycett adding to our EA support team. Looking forward to working together with them next school year! A updated staff list is included further down in the newsletter.</span></p><p class="editor-paragraph" dir="ltr"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Please come and join us Monday for our Primary Track and Field Day! Event schedule is below, come out and cheer our youngest as they try Track and Field events for the first time.</span></p><p class="editor-paragraph" dir="ltr"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Next week there will be two spirit days to wrap up the year. Tuesday is Rainbow Spirit Day! TPCS is shining bright with every color of the rainbow. Each colour reminds us that every person is unique, every voice matters, and everyone belongs! Wear bright colors, tie dye, rainbow print. And Thursday is Bee-Awesome day, our final spirit day of the year. Show your Stingers Pride on the last day of school! Wear school merch, black and yellow, or bee themed!</span></p><p class="editor-paragraph" dir="ltr"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">As always please reach out if you have any questions.</span></p><p class="editor-paragraph" dir="ltr"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Bill Dowling</span></p><p class="editor-paragraph" style="text-align: center;"><br></p><h2 class="editor-heading-h2" dir="ltr" style="padding-inline-start: 160px;"><u><span class="editor-text-underline" style="white-space: pre-wrap;">WEEK AHEAD</span></u></h2><table class="editor-table" style="width: 100%; table-layout: fixed;"><colgroup><col style="width: 19.6141%;"><col style="width: 80.3859%;"></colgroup><tbody><tr style="height: 33px;"><td class="editor-tableCell" style="background-color: transparent; border: 1px solid black; vertical-align: top; text-align: start;"><p class="editor-paragraph" style="text-align: left;"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Mon, June 22&nbsp;</span></p><p class="editor-paragraph" style="text-align: left;"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Day 4&nbsp;</span></p></td><td class="editor-tableCell" style="background-color: transparent; border: 1px solid black; vertical-align: top; text-align: start;"><p class="editor-paragraph" style="text-align: left;"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Grade1 &amp; 2 Track and Field&nbsp;</span></p></td></tr><tr style="height: 33px;"><td class="editor-tableCell" style="background-color: transparent; border: 1px solid black; vertical-align: top; text-align: start;"><p class="editor-paragraph" style="text-align: left;"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Tues, June 23&nbsp;</span></p><p class="editor-paragraph" style="text-align: left;"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Day 5&nbsp;</span></p></td><td class="editor-tableCell" style="background-color: transparent; border: 1px solid black; vertical-align: top; text-align: start;"><p class="editor-paragraph" style="text-align: left;"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Grade 8 Carnival&nbsp;&nbsp;</span></p></td></tr><tr style="height: 33px;"><td class="editor-tableCell" style="background-color: transparent; border: 1px solid black; vertical-align: top; text-align: start;"><p class="editor-paragraph" style="text-align: left;"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Wed, June 24&nbsp;</span></p><p class="editor-paragraph" style="text-align: left;"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Day 1&nbsp;</span></p></td><td class="editor-tableCell" style="background-color: transparent; border: 1px solid black; vertical-align: top; text-align: start;"><p class="editor-paragraph" style="text-align: left;"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Term 2 Report Cards go Home&nbsp;</span></p></td></tr><tr style="height: 33px;"><td class="editor-tableCell" style="background-color: transparent; border: 1px solid black; vertical-align: top; text-align: start;"><p class="editor-paragraph" style="text-align: left;"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Thurs, June 25&nbsp;</span></p><p class="editor-paragraph" style="text-align: left;"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Day 2&nbsp;</span></p></td><td class="editor-tableCell" style="background-color: transparent; border: 1px solid black; vertical-align: top; text-align: start;"><p class="editor-paragraph" style="text-align: left;"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Last Day of School&nbsp;&nbsp;</span></p></td></tr><tr style="height: 33px;"><td class="editor-tableCell" style="background-color: rgb(217, 226, 243); border: 1px solid black; vertical-align: top; text-align: start;"><p class="editor-paragraph" style="text-align: left;"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Fri, June 26&nbsp;</span></p></td><td class="editor-tableCell" style="background-color: rgb(217, 226, 243); border: 1px solid black; vertical-align: top; text-align: start;"><p class="editor-paragraph" style="text-align: left;"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Professional Development DAY&nbsp;</span></p></td></tr></tbody></table><h2 class="editor-heading-h2"><u><span class="editor-text-underline" style="white-space: pre-wrap;">TPCS STAFF/CLASSROOMS 2026/27</span></u></h2><p class="editor-paragraph"><br></p><p class="editor-paragraph"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Mrs. McKnight, Mrs. Shetler – Eng JK/SK</span></p><p class="editor-paragraph"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Eng SK/1 – Mrs. Morrow</span></p><p class="editor-paragraph"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Mrs. Kent – Eng Gr. 1</span></p><p class="editor-paragraph"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Mrs. Tindale – Eng Gr. 2</span></p><p class="editor-paragraph"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Eng 3/4 – Mrs. Ryan</span></p><p class="editor-paragraph"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Mrs. Hendry – Eng Gr. 4/5</span></p><p class="editor-paragraph"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Mrs. Benn – Eng. pre-wrap;">TPCS Cell Phone Policy</span></h1><p class="editor-paragraph" dir="ltr"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;"> Cell phone use by students impacts not only the learning environment but also the safety and privacy of others. In accordance with the Limestone District School Board’s Policy as well as the Ministry of Education’s Policy, students are not to be using cell phones at school unless they are directed to do so by their teacher for instructional purposes. As a staff, we have discussed why certain students may need to use their cell phones while at school and we will make sure we connect with those students and their parents to make a plan. We also want to highlight that if there needs to be any communication between home and school during the school day, this needs to go through the main office by calling 613-354-2121.hen your child arrives at school, they will be directed to put their device in a safe container in the classroom. If your child does not follow the expectations around cell phone use, their device will be housed in the office for the day. There will not be any warnings given. Your child will be able to pick it up at the end of the day. If their device is being misused again, a parent/guardian will be asked to come pick up the cell phone. This policy extends to the use of headphones/earbuds without direct permission from a teacher. Our goal is to make the most use of class time and create an effective, focused, and respectful learning environment for all students.</span></p><h1 class="editor-heading-h1" dir="ltr"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">LDSB Student Dress Policy</span></h1><p class="editor-paragraph" dir="ltr"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">The Limestone District School Board is committed to upholding human rights, and creating an equitable, inclusive, and accessible school climate that ensures all students and staff feel safe, comfortable, and accepted. pre-wrap;">TPCS Cell Phone Policy</span></h1><p class="editor-paragraph" dir="ltr"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;"> Cell phone use by students impacts not only the learning environment but also the safety and privacy of others. Our goal is to make the most use of class time and create an effective, focused, and respectful learning environment for all students.</span></p><h1 class="editor-heading-h1" dir="ltr"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">LDSB Student Dress Policy</span></h1><p class="editor-paragraph" dir="ltr"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">The Limestone District School Board is committed to upholding human rights, and creating an equitable, inclusive, and accessible school climate that ensures all students and staff feel safe, comfortable, and accepted. the safety and privacy of others. Year End Letter to Students and Parents

<p class="editor-paragraph"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">The Honourable Paul Calandra, Minister of Education has shared a letter for students, parents and families: </span></p><p class="editor-paragraph"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Dear Students, Parents and Families,</span></p><p class="editor-paragraph"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">To our amazing students: well done on finishing another school year! This is a good time to celebrate everything you have accomplished over the past several months. You worked hard, took on challenges, learned new things and continued to grow. You should be proud of all you have achieved this year.</span></p><p class="editor-paragraph"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">As you begin your summer break, take time to rest, explore your interests, and enjoy time with family and friends. However you choose to spend your summer, I hope you make the most of the months ahead.</span></p><p class="editor-paragraph"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">To the graduating Class of 2026, congratulations on reaching this important milestone. Graduation marks the end of one chapter and the beginning of another. Whether your next step is college, university, an apprenticeship, the workforce or another pathway, I wish you every success in the years ahead.</span></p><p class="editor-paragraph"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">As families look ahead to September and the start of a new school year, there are a few things to keep in mind. Ontario schools will continue to focus on helping students build strong foundations in reading, writing and math while preparing them for success beyond the classroom. Students in elementary schools will learn from the same core materials and benefit from a revised Kindergarten curriculum focused on foundational literacy, math and science skills. In Grade 7 and 8, updated History courses will include new mandatory content on the history of Black Canadians.</span></p><p class="editor-paragraph"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">In high schools, students in Grade 10 History will have new learning about Black history, the Holocaust and Holodomor. Students will also be required to demonstrate financial literacy as part of earning their high school diploma. To help provide clearer expectations and a more comprehensive picture of student achievement, high school students will complete written final exams during a dedicated exam period, and attendance and classroom participation will form part of their final grade. Together, these changes will help students stay engaged in their learning and be better prepared for life after graduation.</span></p><p class="editor-paragraph"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">I hope the summer ahead provides an opportunity to recharge and enjoy some well-earned time together. I wish you and your family a safe, happy and enjoyable summer.</span></p><p class="editor-paragraph"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Sincerely,</span></p><p class="editor-paragraph"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">The Honourable Paul Calandra Minister of Education</span></p><p class="editor-paragraph"><br></p><p class="editor-paragraph"><a href="/documents/1fba83f3-9f1b-4d60-a77c-3bc15cd094c8/Year-End-Letter-to-Students-and-Parents.pdf?fingerprint=ppb20260617152216" rel="noreferrer" class="editor-link"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Year End Letter to Students, Parents, and Families from The Honourable Paul Calandra, Minister of Education - English</span></a><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;"> (PDF)</span></p><p class="editor-paragraph"><a href="/documents/1466db2e-00ea-40f2-b63d-8d3f65d04a0d/Lettre-concernant-la-fin-de-l-ann-e-scolaire-l-intention-des-l-ves-et-des-parents.pdf?fingerprint=ppb20260617152354" rel="noreferrer" class="editor-link"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Year End Letter to Students, Parents, and Families from The Honourable Paul Calandra, Minister of Education - French</span></a><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;"> (PDF)</span></p>
